5 Easy Plant-Based Snacks for at Home or On the Go

Sliced vegetables on the plate

It’s not easy going through a whole day without having any snacks to munch on. While there are tons of plant-based snack options, they may not all be the healthiest or the easiest. Lucky for you, we know of several easy and healthier snack options that are all plant-based, which means you’ll do good by you and by the planet.

  • Make-Your-Own Trail Mix

Take all your favorite ingredients from classic trail mix and put them together in a better-for-you format. Our tip is to go low-sugar and you’ll reap high rewards. First find your favorite nuts (we suggest almonds, cashews, and peanuts). Then explore some seeds like pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds. Toss in a small handful of dried fruit like raisins or cranberries, but make sure you choose ones that have no added sugar. Last but not least, sparingly throw in ½ a handful of dark chocolate chips and you’ve got yourself a plant-based trail mix you can enjoy anywhere.

  • DIY Kale Chips

This one requires a little bit of time spent in front of the oven, but we promise it’s worth it. With fewer calories, fat, and carbohydrates than potato chips, kale chips are a plant-based snacker’s dream. They’re a little bit salty, and packed with a lot of nutrition. To make them, first wash the leaves and remove them from their stems. Then dry the leaves completely, lightly coat them in olive oil, spread them out on a cooking sheet, and bake! We suggest baking for 10 minutes at 300°F but that depends on how crispy you want them. Experiment to find your ideal level of crunch!

  • Keto-Friendly Granola Bars

This one’s easy and requires zero prep time in the kitchen. All you need to do for keto-friendly granola bars is to head on over to your local grocery store or your computer and order them from Munk Pack today! • Baked or Air-Fried Veggie Chips

Back to the kitchen we go! Homemade air-fried or baked veggie chips are perfect when you’re looking for a plant-based snack. Choose one vegetable or try several and make a mix – our favorites are beets, potatoes, parsnips, and carrots! Baking or air-frying your own veggie chips is as easy as can be. Either use a mandoline slicer or just finely cut a few root vegetables before sprinkling a little salt and your seasoning of choice on top. Lightly drizzle the chips with olive oil, mix it all up, and lay them flat on a baking sheet or toss them in the air fryer. Cook until they’re crispy and voila – your chips are ready!

Cookies make the perfect snack, but not all of them are created equally.
