While many low sugar products use sugar alcohols like erythritol or maltitol as sweeteners, we choose to use allulose in our Granola Bars and Nut & Seed Bars because it doesn’t have any aftertaste, it has virtually no impact on blood sugar and people report it is easier on their digestive system.

Our products are also Gluten Free Certified, Non-GMO and OU-D Kosher.

All Munk Pack products are produced in the United States.

Our Granola Bars and Nut & Seed Bars contain 0g of added sugar per the Nutrition Facts panel. They are sweetened with allulose, which is technically a form of sugar, but the FDA allows it to be excluded from total sugar and added sugar counts based on findings that it has a negligible impact on blood glucose and insulin levels.

All Munk Pack products are erythritol and maltitol free.

We sweeten our granola bars and nut & seed bars with allulose, a sweetener found naturally in small amounts in maple syrup, figs and raisins. Our source is produced from non-bioengineered corn. Allulose has virtually no impact on blood sugar and insulin.

Probiotics are live microorganisms that can be found in some foods like yogurt, kefir, kimchi and kombucha, and they can also be taken as a supplement. Probiotics have been found to have benefits for digestive health by restoring the balance of gut bacteria, which can help with digestive issues like gas, bloating and diarrhea. Probiotics can also aid in the body’s immune response.

Munk Pack uses Bacillus Coagulans as its source of probiotics in its Probiotic Protein™ products.

Each Munk Pack Probiotic Protein™ Bar and Probiotic Protein™ Breakfast Bar contains 1 Billion CFU probiotics from B. Coagulans. CFU represents the number of live cells contained in each serving.

Prebiotic fiber helps support the growth of beneficial gut bacteria. It functions as a food source for the good gut bacteria, which helps with digestion, supports the immune system, and helps the body absorb nutrients.

The protein blend used in our Probiotic Protein™ Bars and Probiotic Protein™ Breakfast Bars is a complete protein. This means these bars provide all nine essential amino acids.

The protein in Munk Pack Nut & Seed Bars and Chewy Almond Bars comes from the nuts and seeds exclusively in the product, and is not a complete protein.

The term “net carbs” refers to carbohydrates that are absorbed by the body. To calculate net carbs, you subtract the fiber, allulose and glycerin (if present) from the total carbs. The net carb calculation for all of our keto-friendly products can be found on the packaging and on the corresponding product pages.

Our soluble tapioca fiber is a resistant dextrin, which is a keto-friendly fiber. It is derived from non-GMO tapioca starch that’s broken down through an enzymatic-based process. The resulting fiber is a natural sweetener that shouldn’t kick you out of ketosis or impact your blood sugar.

Some brands use isomaltooligosaccharides (IMOs) and label them as soluble tapioca fiber in the ingredients. IMOs are not keto-friendly and can kick you out of ketosis. We do not use IMOs in any of our products.

When soluble tapioca fiber is listed as an ingredient in our products, this is actual soluble tapioca fiber. We do not use isomaltooligosaccharides (IMOs) in any of our products.

We require our suppliers to only use palm oil that is certified by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). RSPO lists one of its most important criteria as:  “no primary forests or areas which contain significant concentrations of biodiversity (e.g. endangered species) or fragile ecosystems, or areas which are fundamental to meeting basic or traditional cultural needs of local communities (high conservation value areas), can be cleared.”

Yes, we conduct product testing to ensure we have less than 10 parts per million (ppm) trace gluten. The FDA standard for gluten free products is less than 20ppm.

Peanuts, tree nuts, milk (dairy), soy, sesame and gluten are present in our production facility and may be processed on the same equipment as our products. Good Manufacturing Practices are in place to properly segregate, store and handle allergens, and production lines are fully cleaned in between productions. We conduct allergen swabbing to test for trace allergens before using shared equipment. Our facility is regularly third party audited and as a result our products have obtained certification as gluten free and kosher.

Before consuming our products, please read the ingredients and allergen information on the wrapper of the product you have on hand for the most accurate information on what allergens are present in the product and in the facility where it was made.

The chocolate in our Nut & Seed Bars and Granola Bars has a melt point of 95F. Even if outside temperatures exceed that, we anticipate that most trucks do not exceed that temperature inside their closed compartment.

If melting does occur, we recommend leaving the snacks in the fridge for 2-3 hours before consuming. There should be no impact on the taste though either way.
